Child Therapy

The therapists at Crossroads Psychological Associates have experience working individually with children as young as 4 years old.  Therapy for all children will, necessarily, involve contact with the parent(s).  Therapists work in conjunction with parents in order to learn as much about the child and to provide the best and most consistent treatment as possible.  As appropriate, our therapists visit the child’s school and collaborate with teachers and school administrators.  Child therapy may be helpful in treating depression, anxiety, school refusal, behavioral issues involving homework and organizational skills, fears and phobias, oppositional behavior, acting out at home and/or at school, obsessive-compulsive behaviors, poor peer relationships and low self-esteem.
